Hey! I am so glad you're here, taking time to get this far, and reading about my business. I am Evelyn, the owner and sole photographer. Ev B Photography comes from my nickname Ev, and my last name Bush. I am currently a full-time student studying to get a business degree in Marketing & Advertising. In my daily life I still hold part-time jobs on the weekends and move positions frequently... from server to bartender to even taking months unemployed to focus on my business and studies. You can always spark up a conversation with me easily by talking about music artists, my dog, or anything & everything photos :)
Photography has been a satisfying part of my life in different ways since about 12 years old. I would frequently take my family's small digital camera and take pictures of quite literally everything you could see, just because I thought it turned out satisfying to see it through the lens.
When I was 15, my dad gifted me my first ever camera of my own as a Christmas present. It was a Canon Rebel T6, and I worked that camera constantly. It was after receiving that camera that I became fully obsessed with post production editing. I would take photos of myself 24/7 just to work on teaching myself lighting adjustments, facial retouching, and photoshop effects. (There are still plenty of images within my portfolio that I created with that Canon) I was later able to afford my current camera for myself in the summer of 2022, which is a Sony A7iii.

Photography has quite literally just always been satisfying in my eyes, and that is the best way I can describe the feeling of getting the perfect shot, or creating an edit that pulls out what I saw in real-time. I have a very visual mind and memory, which I believe is what originally led me to want to take photos when I was young. All of my memories are saved in my mind as visual snap-shots, and I think photography saves our memories the easiest. If you have photos of a person, event, emotion, or even just a place- it will likely outlast the time that we have on earth with them.
Photographs are sometimes all we have of our passed family members, our childhood home, your parents wedding day, your children before they grew up, your parents when they were young, your college graduation, the list goes on forever. Simple things that become important through time can be saved and cherished forever, frozen in time. That is what photography is to me, and why I adore every memory I get the honor of capturing.
